Norwich City 0-3 Tottenham - REPORT

Tottenham haven’t lost away since the opening day of the season and were in complete control for long periods at Carrow Road as Mauricio Pochettino’s exciting young side grow in confidence with every passing week, winning many new fans with their swashbuckling style.

Norwich scored four in their last game against Liverpool yet still managed to lose, and Dele Alli took full advantage of Norwich’s sheepish start here, guiding in a rebound inside two minutes after Declan Rudd had parried Christian Eriksen’s shot.

With Norwich rattled, Spurs got a second when Sebastien Bassong’s clumsy challenge on Alli resulted in a slightly harsh penalty, which Harry Kane duly despatched.

Kane hit the post as Spurs pushed for a third and, although Norwich had a legitimate penalty claim turned down when Kevin Wimmer appeared to push Steven Naismith in the back.

Norwich improved in the second half and Spurs rode their luck at times, but Kane wrapped up the win in style with a sumptuous finish in the final minute as Spurs move above rivals Arsenal on goal difference and up to third.
