It has been revealed that PSV Eindhoven players jumped to the defence of Hector Moreno after his challenge on Manchester United fullback Luke Shaw last night.
The PSV defender’s tackle left Shaw with a broken leg during the 2-1 Champions League win.
“It’s very unfortunate, but there was no foul play and so no-one can take anything amiss,” Jeffrey Bruma told NUsport.
Midfielder Jorrit Hendrix agreed.
“As I saw it, it was just a play that ended quite unhappily. Hector wanted the ball, tackled and hit the ball, but unfortunately also Shaw…”
