Reports are out claiming that PSV Eindhoven winger Georginio Wijnaldum has touted himself to Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United.
Along with teammate Memphis Depay, Wijnaldum will be sold by PSV at the end of the season.
“I’m happy with PSV but I’m a player with big ambitions. I want to play in a league that is stronger than the Eredivisie. With my quality, I feel I can contribute a lot to the team I go to. I want to show it in the big leagues: England, Italy, Spain, Germany and France,” says the 24-year-old.
“Of course, I would like to work with him (Van Gaal) again. He is a good coach and make players better. I worked very well with him and he is a great man. He gave me the chance to play in the World Cup after an injury kept me out for seven months and I’m grateful for that. He helped me regain confidence.”
