Reports are out claiming that Real Madrid are pondering a shock raid on city rivals Atletico Madrid for Antoine Griezmann.
Since joining Atletico from Real Sociedad, Griezmann has proved himself among the best attacking players in Europe.
AS says Real coach Rafa Benitez is a fan and has discussed signing Griezmann in 2016 with president Florentino Perez.
Benitez played Lucas Vazquez ahead of Jese for victory over Granada on Saturday.
Any move for the French international would be controversial, with the two clubs understood to have a pact whereby they would not make hostile attempts for their star players.
It is the existence of the ‘pact’ which saw Sergio Aguero join Manchester City instead of Real when he was up for sale at Atletico.
