It has been reported that Manchester United are being joined by Real Madrid in their interest for Barcelona star Neymar.
The Barcelona-based El Mundo Deportivo claims that United, PSG and Real Madrid have been encouraged in their pursuit of the Brazil captain. And Neymar’s €190 million buyout clause is seen as affordable by all three big spending giants.
At 23 and given his global profile and potential – on and away from the pitch – the €190 million it would take to trigger Neymar’s clause is viewed as justifiable.
Neymar has already confirmed United made a serious attempt for him last summer, but Barca refused to sell. The Catalans would be powerless should his current buyout clause be met.
Real president Florentino Perez is also interested and would seek to prise Neymar away from the Nou Camp should he lose Cristiano Ronaldo next summer.
Everything will hinge on Barca being able to secure Neymar to a new agreement, with negotiations planned in early 2016.
