Manchester United are prepared to outbid Real Madrid for Bayern Munich star Franck Ribery.
Spanish newspapers have reported that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is intensifying their pursuit of Ribery after the Frenchman’s performance against United this week.
Real chief Zinedine Zidane has already declared he regards his fellow Frenchman as “being born to play for Madrid”.
Perez believes a price in the region of £20 million should be enough to convince Bayern to sell.
However, United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is also keen and would be prepared to offer even more.
