Real Madrid veteran Raul has been linked with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur after he revealed that he wants to finish his career in England.
The 33-year old former Spain striker, who has spent his entire career at the Santiago Bernabeu, is available on a free transfer.
Raul recently turned down an offer from Germany club VfL Wolfsburg, and now has emerged as a top target for Spurs.
Raul’s future essentially relies on Real giving him the green light to leave as explained by agent Barry O’Connor.
“With a player of this pedigree there is always a lot of interest but nothing will happen until Real Madrid give the official go-ahead that he can leave,” he said.
The returning Newcastle United are also believed to be keen on bringing Spain’s all-time leading goalscorer to the Premier League.
