Ireland claimed a comfortable 3-0 victory over Algeria at the RDS in Dublin, thanks to goals from Paul Green and Robbie Keane.
Ireland came out on top in a scrappy, faltering first half thanks to Green’s 31st minute goal on his full Irish debut.
Keane (pictured) scored twice to take his tally to 43 goals in 99 national team appearances.
The Irish came into the match full of confidence after a gritty 2-1 victory over Paraguay on Tuesday, and looked far more assured than their North African visitors throughout what was ultimately a very comfortable victory.
