Reports have emerged claiming that Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote has big plans for Arsenal.
The Daily Star Sunday says he wants Patrick Vieira as the new Arsenal boss with Thierry Henry as his No.2.
Dangote, Africa’s richest man worth £10BILLION, is plotting to make a fresh bid to buy the Gunners and, in time, replace Arsene Wenger with the former fans’ favourites.
Vieira, 38, is currently boss of Manchester City reserves while Henry, 37, is a Sky Sports pundit.
Dangote said: “Wenger needs to change his style a bit. They need new direction.
“I still hope I will buy the team. I might buy it, not at a ridiculous price but a price that the owners won’t want to resist. I know my strategy.”
A source revealed: “The plan would be to get Patrick and Thierry on the coaching staff for a period before giving them the reins and with Arsene taking a place on the board and eventually becoming chairman.”
