It has been revealed that Marcos Rojo has held crunch talks with Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal over his future.
The Daily Star Sunday reported that the £16m Argentine international defender angered Van Gaal when he was forced to miss United’s preseason tour of America due to a passport problem.
He was then offered to Monaco as part of the deal which brought striker Anthony Martial to Old Trafford.
But his agent, the influential Jorge Mendes, intervened on Rojo’s behalf when in Manchester to negotiate goalkeeper David De Gea’s new contract.
And Rojo, who is happy in Manchester, was delighted when Van Gaal assured him that he was still in his plans.
