Chelsea’s Portugal defender Ricardo Carvalho has told his club that he wants to quit in order to join Italian champions Inter Milan.
It is believed that the Portuguese defender is desperate to link up with old Blues boss Jose Mourinho at the San Siro and he has told Stamford Bridge chiefs to accept a bid from the Italian side.
Carvalho said that he has made up his mind and would like to open a new cycle in my career. The player said that he feels ready to do it and said that he had a chance to discuss it with the Chelsea directors and told them what he thinks.
Carvalho has been linked with a switch to local rivals Manchester City but he insists that his heart is set on Inter.
The player also added that he has spoken to his agent and that if he leaves Chelsea, he only want to play for another great club, not an average side otherwise he will honour his contract in London.
The player also added that Inter is a top club and that he have heard good things about the club.
