North Queensland skipper Robbie Fowler has escaped sanction for lashing out at player with his feet during the Fury’s 5-0 loss to Gold Coast United.
Fowler struck United player Anderson with his feet during the 85th minute of the round two A-League clash at Robina’s Skilled Stadium.
But because the referee ruled the matter did not warrant any further punishment, the match review panel was unable to impose a greater penalty.
“In accordance with FIFA and FFA Regulations, the MRP has no authority to intervene,” the FFA said in a statement.
