Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has revealed that he wants to launch a continental spending spree.
It is believed that Mancini plans will transform City’s squad and the British core of the current team.
Local newspapers have reported that Mancini is looking for the kind of £200million player investment that City’s Abu Dhabi owners lavished on Hughes so that he can bring in his own men – regardless of whether the Blues finish in the top four.
