Real Madrid superstar winger Cristiano Ronaldo has hinted that he is ready to cross the pain barrier to play for Portugal this week.
Portugal must beat Bosnia in their World Cup playoff to book their places for South Africa and Ronaldo has been included on the team, despite carrying a major ankle injury.
Ronaldo told reporters that he does not want to imagine a World Cup without Portugal’s presence.
He added that all national team players and coaches are united in that goal and said that he wants to prove that Portugal can be optimistic that it will be in South Africa next year.
Ronaldo also refused to comment on whether he will end his career in Portugal and the former Manchester United winger said that he will not say yes or no.
Ronaldo also said that he has a six-year contract with Real Madrid and that he will only decide what to do when his contract comes to an end.
