Rooney

Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed that he would love to remain at Old Trafford for the remainder of his playing days.

The 24-year old has rejected calls from his former teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to join Real Madrid, saying he would rather stay in Manchester and try and emulate the feats of veteran winger Ryan Giggs.

Rooney said that there is a lot of respect for the way Giggs handles himself and looking at the things he has won and that he is the perfect role model.

Rooney also said that he hope to reach 800-odd appearances for United and said that it is unbelievable how many games Giggs has played for Manchester United and said that if he can get anywhere near that he would be delighted.

The England international striker said that he would like to end his career with Manchester United and if he could emulate what Giggs has done at this club then it would be an amazing achievement.
