Manchester United boss Alex Ferguson was left fuming by “unfit” referee Alan Wiley’s performance during the champions’ 2-2 draw with Sunderland at Old Trafford.
Alex Ferguson later told reporters that he was very disappointed with the referee as he did not add on any time for the goal.
Ferguson also said that referee Alan Wiley just played four minutes and two seconds.
Sir Alex also said that the referee was also walking up the pitch for the second goal needing a rest and that he was not fit enough for a game of that standard.
The Manchester United manager said that the pace of the game demanded a referee who was fit and that referee Alan Wiley was not fit. Sir Alex also said that it is an indictment of the game.
Sir Alex also went on to say that referees abroad are as fit as butcher’s dogs.
He also said that the Premier League has got some referee who are fit but referee Alan Wiley was not fit.
Sir Alex also said that the referee took 30 seconds to book a player as he was needing a rest and that what happened is really ridiculous.
