Sir Alex Ferguson Charged With Improper Conduct

ALEX FERGUSON

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has been charged with improper conduct for his post-match comments concerning referee Alan Wiley’s fitness.

Sir Alex criticised Wiley after Manchester United’s 2-2 Premier League draw with Sunderland at Old Trafford on October 3.

Ferguson has already apologised to Wiley but that has not saved him from an FA charge and he now has two weeks to respond and can request a personal hearing if he wishes.

Sir Alex’s rant went against the FA’s Respect campaign and came just two weeks after he was pictured sharing a joke with Wiley during the derby with Manchester City.

Ferguson could face a hefty fine or a touchline ban if he is found guilty.
