Reports are out claiming that Southampton have confirmed the signing of Filip Djuricic from Benfica.
The 23-year old Serbian international attacking midfielder has joined the Saints on loan from the Portuguese giants for the remainder of the season.
Djuricic, who starred for Dutch side Heerenveen between 2010 and 2013, arrives at St Mary’s Stadium having spent time on loan at German club Mainz recently and will fit in well with the Saints game style according to manager Ronald Koeman.
“I know the player from Holland. Now it’s a good chance for the player to develop himself,” Koeman told the club’s official website.
“He’s a young player. He’s technical, he’s fast and he can play in different positions in midfield.
“I think it’s best for him to play in a team like Southampton. Our type of football is the best for Djuricic.”
