It has been reported that Steven Gerrard is on the brink of signing a new deal with Liverpool.
The Daily Express reported that the midfielder is on the verge of signing a new £150,000-a-week deal at Liverpool.
The Reds skipper, 34, is in the final year of the contract he signed in 2013 but is set to extend it until 2016.
The former England captain hinted in his retirement statement that he had plans to play on for another three years at Anfield. And the Liverpool legend will now sign a new contract in the coming weeks.
