Thierry Henry Retires From International Football

New York Red Bull’s latest signing Thierry Henry has retired from the France national team to concentrate on his new club.

The 32-year old former Arsenal striker was officially announced as New York’s second Designated Player this week and revealed that he will no longer don the shirt of Les Bleus as he steps into the next phase of his brilliant career.

Henry said : “That was my last game, against South Africa,”.

“Ironically, it was also my first game in the national team against South Africa.

“I always want to be here 100 per cent and fully committed to this cause and this organisation. I couldn’t announce it before because that’s not the type of thing you announce before a World Cup.”
