Interesting transfer news are out and it has been reported that Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp expects to sign Portsmouth goalkeeper David James for £1million in January.
It is believed that the Spurs boss wants a new keeper to boost his team’s hopes of breaking into the top four.
It is now believed that Redknapp will move for his old Portsmouth keeper David James after being told that he has no chance of luring Blackburn’s Paul Robinson back to White Hart Lane.
The £1m fee could drop if Spurs’ Italian stopper Carlo Cudicini agrees to move the other way.
Pompey are rock bottom of the Premier League with just three points.
James, now age 39, fears their position could affect his chances of being England’s No 1 keeper at the World Cup.
