Tottenham are lining up a £6million New Year bid for Manchester United and England goalkeeper Ben Foster.
The Manchester United star admits he may have to quit Old Trafford after slipping to No 3 in the pecking order.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp is in the market for a new keeper after Carlo Cudicini was seriously injured in a bike accident last week.
Foster fears he will not be in England’s World Cup squad next year unless he is playing regular first-team football in the Premier League.
Foster, now age 26, was picked to start Saturday’s 1-0 defeat by Brazil but admitted that it is very disheartening not even being on the bench at Manchester United.
He also said that he is third choice for United yet he is playing for his country. However Foster is reluctant to give up on his United dream.
Foster now believes that he needs regular Premier League football and would welcome the chance to establish himself at White Hart Lane.
