Reports are out claiming that Tottenham remain keen on Cologne defender Kevin Wimmer.
Spurs made enquiries for the Austrian in the final days of the winter market.
The London Evening Standard reported that Spurs have maintained their interest and they are confident they could secure Wimmer’s signature should they decide to make it formal with a bid of £5 million.
The 22-year-old is under contract for the next four years, yet Tottenham still feel he could be prised away from Cologne.
Wimmer earns about £15,000 a week at his current club but his representatives would be looking for more than double that salary. It is believed Wimmer would accept a basic wage of about £35,000 a week.
