Teenage striker Jozy Altidore is hungry for more after making an instant impression in Hull colours at the weekend against Bolton Wanderers.
The 19-year-old USA international striker, who has moved to Humberside on a season-long loan from Spanish club Villarreal, shrugged off the effects of jetlag to come off the bench and set up the winning goal in Saturday’s Barclays Premier League victory over Bolton at the KC Stadium.
Altidore told reporters after the match that “If I’m called upon by the gaffer I’m going to go out there and play 100%. I need games, that’s what I haven’t had in the past year.”
He also added that “This is why I came to Hull, to get games and repay the faith that has been shown on me.”
Altidore also went on to say that “I just want to play and be here and prove I belong. I want to play as much as possible and improve.”
