Dion-Johan Chai Cools is a professional footballer who plays as a defender for Belgian Pro League club Zulte Waregem, on loan from Midtjylland and the Malaysia national team.
Even though Cools won 28 caps for Belgium at youth level, In 2021, he was called up and chose to represent Malaysia.
Cools recently led Malaysia to the Asia Cup Final 2023, the first time the country has qualified since 42 years ago.
At the moment there is interest from Brentford F.C and if the transfer deal does go through, Cools would be the first-ever Malaysian to play in the English Premier League.
Cools’ partner is Melissa Schelfhout and they had a child named Liam-Zayn Cool.
