Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed that his current attack is better than when Thierry Henry wore the Arsenal shirt.
Wenger saw the young guns smash four past Alkmaar to all-but qualify for the Champions League last 16 and Wenger admitted that he has his best-ever strike force.
Wenger told reporters that Arsenal never had as many options on the creative side and the team still have Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott who are offensive players and were not available.
He also added that Denilson, Eduardo, Tomas Rosicky and Carlos Vela did not start and that is why he was amazed when people said that Arsenal needed to buy.
Cesc Fabregas netted twice with Samir Nasri and Abou Diaby rounding off the rout before Jeremain Lens grabbed a late consolation.
Arsenal now only need one point to ensure a place in the next round as his youngsters try to emulate the 2004 Invincibles of Henry, Robert Pires and Patrick Vieira.
Wenger also said that it was a brilliant performance by the team as they were technically and tactically dominant and were never in any sort of danger.
He went on to say that he is satisfied with the team’s performance and that he is very happy.
Arsenal is now on a 12 games unbeaten run with 10 victories in all competitions.
