Reports are out claiming that Arsenal hero Martin Keown says Olivier Giroud must find consistency to win over skeptical Gooners.
Keown wrote in the Daily Mail: “Olivier Giroud was magnificent in Greece but I still don’t get the feeling he is completely loved by everybody at the club. Part of that is due to his inconsistency.
“He had quite a poor game against Sunderland last weekend and if Arsene Wenger had more striking options, Giroud may not have started at Olympiacos. But he was the only recognised striker available and became the hero.
“In Zagreb he fell out with the ref and was unfortunate to be sent off but on Wednesday he was particularly brave. His header for the first goal was outstanding. He has to be one of the best headers of the ball Wenger has ever had.
“Because of his position and his fluctuating form, Giroud lives under more pressure than any Arsenal player.
“Football clubs should feel like a home and I’m not sure Giroud feels 100 per cent at home. But when he’s on song, he is such a good attacking option.”
