It has been reported that Manchester City are ready to challenge Arsenal for unsettled Newcastle United midfielder Cheick Tiote.
The Mail on Sunday claims that Arsenal will face a battle with City for the services of Tiote.
The Ivory Coast international is the sort of tough midfielder City boss Manuel Pellegrini wants to underpin his team’s attacking strengths.
And Tiote has indicated he wants to leave Newcastle in January.
He is rated at £15million.
