Reports are out claiming that Arsenal fans have been disappointed to learn that the club has been allocated just 32,000 tickets for the FA Cup semi-final.
The figure that has been suggested by the London Evening Standard is considerably less than the 42,000+ allocation the north London club received for the final four clash with Wigan Athletic last year.
The Gunners take on either Reading or Bradford City at Wembley on April 18 or 19 in this year’s semi-final with all three clubs set to meet with the Football Association soon to determine the allocation numbers.
A spokesman from the Arsenal Supporters’ Trust told the Standard that the expected allocation is simply not good enough.
“The FA really need to up their game and make sure more tickets for these big games at Wembley are allocated to the fans of the teams competing,” said the spokesman.
“It is disappointing to hear that only 32,000 tickets have been allocated for Arsenal fans at the semi-final. The FA must explain why Arsenal’s allocation can’t be nearer to 44,000, half of Wembley’s capacity.”
