It has been reported that Arsenal and Liverpool are aware of the buyout clause in Levante goalkeeper Keylor Navas’ deal.
According to the Mirror, the 27 year old is now on the wanted list for Liverpool, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid, as there is only one year left on his contract and he has a £6.5million buy-out clause.
Costa Rica assistant coach Paulo Wanchope isn’t surprised by the top level interest.
“Navas is the best keeper in Spain and I think he is the best keeper at the World Cup. He has made some really great saves – of course the penalty – and I think he will end up at a great, great club.
“A lot of our players are playing for their future and we will see what happens with the likes of [midfielder] Yeltsin Tejeda or Navas.”
