Reports are out claiming that Arsenal are preparing a January offer for Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings.
The Mirror reported that Chelsea have joined the long list of admirers for 21-year-old Mings as they look for a long-term successor for John Terry.
However Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen to fend off Chelsea and Ipswich are well aware that Arsenal want to take the versatile defender in January.
Mings has impressed Arsenal’s scouts this season and the 6ft 3in defender – who currently plays left back – is seen as someone who can switch to centre half in the long term.
