Arsenal Target Cavani Urged To Join Real Madrid, Man Utd Or Juventus

Reports are out claiming that Edinson Cavani’s father believes his son should leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

Edinson Cavani

The Uruguay international striker has played second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic in Paris and continues to be linked with a potential summer exit.

Despite the fact Ibrahimovic is also set to leave Parc des Princes at the end of the current campaign, Luis Cavani has implored his 29-year-old progeny to move on to greener pastures.

“PSG bought him to play at the pinnacle of the attack, but Edi plays on the wing. He’s not happy in that position,” said Cavani Snr.

“He can’t help his team like he wants to.

“As long as Zlatan is there, he will play in the centre. It’s obviously clear that Edi would be more effective in the middle and would profit from the numerous crosses from his team-mates. Edi was born to score.

“I’d like to see him play for Real Madrid, Manchester United or Juventus.”

In 24 starts for the French champions this season, Cavani has scored 15 goals for a total of 71 from 130 appearances in all competitions since joining from Napoli in 2013.

Cavani is also said to be on the radar of Arsenal.
