Reports are out claiming that Arsenal will hand manager Arsene Wenger around £50 million.
The Gunners released their latest financial figures for the six-month period ending November 2014, revealing a £12.6m increase in turnover to £148.5m and a £93.7m investment in the squad last summer.
The London Evening Standard says Wenger will now be given around £50million to spend in January as a result of the club continuing to grow regardless of previous expenditure and underlines their position of strength in the transfer market.
Sir Chips Keswick, the club’s chairman, said in a statement: “On the field, the team has produced some strong results and the squad is looking fit and better balanced. However, we need to find our best form on a more consistent basis as we approach, what I hope will be, an exciting end to the season.”
