Interesting news are out and it has been revealed that Spanish champions Barcelona are watching Borussia Dortmund defender Marcel Schmelzer.
It is said that Barca coach Pep Guardiola is keen for a new, left-sided fullback with both Maxwell and Eric Abidal now in the veteran stage of their careers.
Schmelzer’s agent, Mario Pichierri, revealed: “He is followed by several European teams, especially in Italy, but now Barcelona is the best placed.”
