Watch Barcelona v Real Madrid LIVE NOW

Preview:

This is the match every neutral football fan will want to watch, it’s the famous El Clasico between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Real will be looking to gain revenge after their humiliating 6-2 loss to Barca earlier this year (Watch Video Below), while Barcelona will want to win and regain the top spot in front of their fans.

Barcelona captain Carles Puyol has declared that he feels Sunday’s Clasico against Real Madrid at Camp Nou will be an evenly matched contest and also felt that his side are full of confidence after the midweek win over Inter.

“A match against Real Madrid is always very attractive. I want to win and it comes at a good moment for us because the victory against Inter has given us greater confidence and morale. Both teams have pressure and I see it as 50-50,” he told a press conference.

While Real Madrid’s Iker Casillas has issued a rallying call to his team-mates, telling them not to hold back when they travel to the Camp Nou to face Barcelona this weekend.

“We aren’t going to the Camp Nou to wait for them,” he reasoned to Marca.

“We are going to play as we have done until now – sometimes well, sometimes badly – with no fear. We are going to attack, to try and win and to cover their most important players, but not at any expense – we must worry about ourselves.”

Recent form

Barcelona:
Barcelona 5-0 Cultural (Copa del Rey)
Athletic Bilbao 1-1 Barcelona (La Liga)
Barcelona 2-0 Internazionale (Champions League)

Real Madrid:
Real Madrid 1-0 Alcorcon (Copa del Rey)
Real Madrid 1-0 Racing Santander (La Liga)
Real Madrid 1-0 FC Zurich (Champions League)

Interesting Facts:

Barcelona basically demolished Inter Milan in the Champions League (without Messi and Zlatan!) while Real struggled to beat FC Zurich.

Lionel Messi has scored an astonishing 5 goals in 5 games against Real Madrid since 2007, with a hattrick on 10 March 2007.

Thierry henry ha scored 2 goals against Real and will look to further distance himself from that handball scandal with a goal for Barca on Sunday.

Prediction:

As much as Real Madrid are trying to assemble a good team i see it unlikely that they will get a win here, Barca are simply too god technically and have had a longer time to gel as a unit while Real are still newly formed and have a terrible defending record which Barca will surely exploit.

I think it will end 3-1 for Barcelona, what do you think?
