Interesting transfer news are out and it has been reported that Napoli star Marek Hamsik is being closely watched and targeted by Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez.
Local newspapers have claimed that Hamsik will come into consideration should Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso completes his proposed move to Real Madrid.
It is reported that Hamsik age 21 was top scorer in his first season with Napoli two years ago. He has so far played 58 matches for Napoli and scored a total of 18 goals in the process.
Hamsik is the regular member of the Slovak national team and he made his debut on 7 February 2007 in the friendly match against Poland which ended 2-2. He played his second match against Germany in the Euro 2008 qualification in which Slovakia lost 2-1.
Hamsik has since then become the key member of the attacking squad and he usually plays in the left flank or in the middle as an attacking midfielder in the national team.
