Robin van Persie scored a hat-trick as Arsenal beat Chelsea 5-3 in an incredible Premier League game at Stamford Bridge.
The Dutchman scored two late goals – with his strike on 85 minutes putting Arsenal ahead courtesy of a howling error from John Terry – as the visitors came from behind twice to earn their first away win since April and their eighth victory in nine matches in all competitions.
Terry, who was backed by manager Andre Villas-Boas over an ongoing race row, had scored to put Chelsea 2-1 up earlier in the match but, at 3-3, he slipped while trying to control Ashley Cole’s pass, with Van Persie latching on to the ball, rounding Petr Cech and taking his second goal of the match.
