Reports are out claiming that Arsenal right-back Mathieu Debuchy looks set to leave north London on loan – and French sports daily L’Equipe earlier reported that he’d agreed a deal to join Bordeaux until the end of the season.
But at a news conference this afternoon the French club’s president Jean-Louis Triaud said the deal is not yet done: “It’s an option we’re exploring and we’re hopeful but I can’t confirm his arrival.”
However, at the same news conference, manager Willy Sagnol was looking forward to working with the Gunners defender.
