Denmark 2-1 Belarus (European Under-21) – Match Highlights

Denmark’s Nicolai Jorgensen kept his side’s hopes of place in the semi-finals alive with a sublime winner in a 2-1 victory over Group A rivals Belarus in Aarhus.

The Danes needed to win to avoid tumbling out of their own tournament and went behind after 20 minutes to a Dimitri Baga strike. But Jorgensen, who was omitted from the starting line-up for his nation’s opening defeat at the hands of Switzerland, inspired a fight back.

The Bayer Leverkusen winger drew the penalty that allowed Christian Eriksen to equalise in the 22nd minute then danced through midfield and arced a long-range shot into the far corner with just 19 minutes left to play.
