Reports are out claiming that Chelsea winger Eden Hazard believes Didier Drogba’s influence will be missed in the dressing room next season.
The 37-year-old played a minor role on the pitch as Chelsea claimed their first title in five years but Hazard insists his influence behind the scenes should not be underestimated.
He told the official Chelsea Magazine: “For me, Drogba was a lot like Samuel Eto’o last season, a legend who you respect a lot. I was able to talk to them a lot because they speak the same language as me.
“Maybe the fact he was in our dressing room helped us and even one per cent can make a big difference.
“I am proud that I can say with my kids I played for a season with him and we won the League together. I’m sad because he’s left, but I speak to him every day. He’s a legend and I have so much respect for him.”
