Reports are out claiming that Aston Villa have reportedly held talks with Remi Garde about taking over as the club’s manager, following the sacking of Tim Sherwood.
The Mirror is reporting that former Arsenal player Garde is the favourite to fill the position vacated by Sherwood.
French TV station Canal Plus, where Garde has been working as a pundit, is reporting the former Lyon boss has already held talks with the 49-year-old.
Sherwood was fired over the weekend as a consequence of Villa’s dismal start to the Premier League season, which sees them sitting bottom of the table with only one win from 10 fixtures.
