Manchester United chief scout Martin Ferguson has revealed that the Premier League champions never made a serious play for Wesley Sneijder.
The Inter Milan star has claimed he came close to joining United in the summer – while he continues to be linked with a switch ahead of the January market.
Howeve Ferguson insisted on Sky Italia: “We’ve never thought of taking him to Manchester United.”
