Bad news for all AC Milan fans as veteran striker Filippo Inzaghi is likely to miss the rest of the season after suffering cruciate ligament and meniscus damage in his left knee.
A statement from the club read : “After a consultation the doctor has confirmed the need for surgery,”.
At the ago of 37, Inzaghi has been in inspirational form for Milan even though he is only used as a bit part player.
Inzaghi recently came off the bench to score a brace against Spanish giants Real Madrid making him the top goal scorer in the history of European competition.
