It has been reported that Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen is delighted for Emmanuel Adebayor over his current form.
The former Arsenal and Manchester City striker struck twice in victory at Newcastle United this week.
“Ade is a big man for us, not just scoring goals but keeping the ball as well,” Vertonghen told the club’s website.
“At the moment he’s very good for us on the pitch and in the dressing room.
“Hugo made some great saves, especially the header in the second half. We know he’s capable of these saves and it’s great to have a keeper like him behind us.
“The fans were high up and difficult to see but we could hear them all night. They are unbelievable and we’re all delighted we could give them a win. It’s a long journey for them.”
