Frank Lampard is highly confident that Chelsea can retain its Premier League crown this season.
The England international midfielder, who returned to the Blues line-up for the 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Sunday, strongly believe that team is on the verge of returning to top form and feels that a move back up to the summit of the league is inevitable.
Lampard said : “If we play with the spirit we showed at Tottenham I have no doubt we will win the league because we have got the quality in our team,”.
“Injuries have been tough on us and some months tough on us.
“But with the spirit and ability we have got in our team, I have all confidence we can do it if we play like that.”
Chelsea take on league leaders Manchester United this weekend, following the Red Devils’ 1-0 win over Arsenal on Monday night.
