It has been reported that Liverpool are not ruling out selling Raheem Sterling this summer.
The Mail on Sunday says Liverpool have placed a £50million price tag on Sterling if the player does not agree to sign a new deal.
Liverpool have offered 20-year-old Sterling – currently on £35,000-a-week – a £100,000-a-week deal with an option to increase that to £140,000-plus in two years on the basis of the player’s progress.
Sterling’s advisers are currently insisting on that amount now.
The Reds recognise Manchester City could be in the market for Sterling and will do business at £50million and then offer Arsenal £25million for Theo Walcott.
