Reports are out claiming that Liverpool are pushing Real Madrid to accept their bid for Asier Illarramendi.
The Daily Star reported that the Reds are refusing to up their £10.7m offer for the player.
That’s because they know Real are eager to force through a sale following the arrival of Mateo Kovacic.
The Croatian joined from Inter Milan earlier this week, leaving Rafa Benitez with a surplus of midfield talent.
Brendan Rodgers is on the lookout for further additions to his squad, and could snap up Illarramendi if the price is right.
Illarramendi is also wanted by Premier League giants Arsenal.
