It has been reported that Manchester City are increasingly confident of signing Paul Pogba from Juventus.
According to a report in The Sun, City are closing in on the French midfielder who has been the subject of frenzied interest from the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in recent weeks.
It is suggested that City believe they are in pole position for Pogba, 22, as they get set to table a British transfer record £60million offer to the Italian champions.
Pogba is reportedly expected to earn £200,000-a-week at the Etihad Stadium which is enough to lure him away from Spain’s top two clubs.
Barcelona presidential candidate Agusti Benedito believes he will sign Pogba if he gains control of the Catalan club while Real are enamored with the former Manchester United youngster.
However, City still believe they have their noses in front.
