It has been reported that Manchester United fear Michael Carrick will be missing for three weeks due to ankle ligament damage.
The Daily Mail reported that the England midfielder has not yet been scanned and there are genuine concerns that he could miss forthcoming Barclays Premier League games against Cardiff, Stoke, Fulham, Arsenal and Crystal Palace.
It would represent another serious blow to manager David Moyes as he looks to put back together the pieces of United’s season.
