It has been reported that Manchester United players are facing a new intensive fitness regime – and there will be nowhere to hide.
United manager Louis van Gaal is certainly not planning to pamper the squad he inherited from sacked David Moyes.
Under the Dutchman players will have to get used to:
– Taking NAPS in cot beds IN BETWEEN double training sessions
– Warming up on special EXERCISE BIKES positioned by the training pitches to minimise injury risks
– Being scrutinised on CCTV to aid training analysis and to spot tell-tale signs of FATIGUE
The Daily Star Sunday says sensors have been installed on the side of the practice pitches to detect how far the players are running and how many passes they complete.
Cot beds have been delivered in bulk so Rooney and Co can get 40 winks before the evening training sessions start at 5.30pm.
Floodlights costing £3million will be erected by October for tough, late-night sessions in the winter as Van Gaal really puts the pressure on.
